WhatsApp Tests New Group Member Tags for Android: What to Know

WhatsApp Testing New Group Member Tags Feature for Android Users: Here’s How It Works

WhatsApp is experimenting with a new Group Member Tags feature on Android, allowing users to add personalized labels—up to 30 characters—to identify their role or function within a group. Currently available to select beta testers, the feature works for both newly created and existing groups.

A Push Toward Better Group Communication

In its ongoing effort to enhance group interactions, WhatsApp is testing a feature that lets members assign custom tags to themselves in group chats. This update aims to improve clarity and identity, especially in large or purpose-driven groups such as professional teams, clubs, and community communities.

How the Tagging Feature Works

According to information from WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.25.17.42) introduces the option to add tags with a maximum of 30 characters. Users can apply tags that reflect their role, expertise, or interests—such as:

  • Coach
  • Project Manager
  • Designer
  • Moderator

These labels appear next to the user’s name in group conversations, making it easier for others to understand each member’s role at a glance.

Users Have Full Control Over Their Tags

A notable aspect of this feature is that tags are entirely user-controlled. Group admins cannot assign or modify tags; each member can create, update, or remove their own label as needed.

While users have full freedom in tagging, WhatsApp is expected to enforce certain safety and security restrictions to prevent misuse, although details on these limitations are still emerging.

Adobe integrates Gemini 3-powered Nano Banana Pro AI model into Photoshop and Firefly

Adobe has introduced Google’s new Gemini 3-powered Nano Banana Pro AI model to both Photoshop and the Firefly app, bringing upgraded image generation, improved editing capabilities, and unlimited AI image creation for subscribers until December 1.

Swift rollout following Adobe–Google partnership

The announcement came through an official Adobe press release, highlighting the remarkably fast turnaround — arriving less than two weeks after the companies revealed their expanded strategic partnership. Under this collaboration, Adobe users gain access to Google’s frontier AI models across key creative apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Firefly.

Adobe also confirmed that Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly subscribers will enjoy unlimited AI image generation until December 1. This applies not only to Firefly’s native models but also to select third-party AI engines.

Nano Banana Pro debuts in Firefly

Within the Firefly app, users can now choose the Nano Banana Pro model through the text-to-image tool. Firefly Boards — Adobe’s collaborative mood-boarding platform — also supports the model, enabling creators to:

  • Upload up to six reference images
  • Combine and refine visuals using prompts
  • Develop concepts collaboratively with AI-assisted workflows

These additions significantly enhance creative control and customization within Firefly.

Enhanced Generative Fill in Photoshop

Photoshop users will also benefit from the integration, as the Gemini 3-powered model strengthens the widely used Generative Fill feature. With the update, creators can:

  • Generate high-resolution images up to 4K
  • Perform advanced text-based edits
  • Modify lighting, style, or composition
  • Produce multiple variations of existing visuals

Nano Banana Pro now becomes the third partner AI model available in Photoshop, joining the original Nano Banana and Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 Kontext [pro].

A major boost to Adobe’s AI ecosystem

This integration marks another step in Adobe’s push to expand its AI-driven creative ecosystem. By incorporating Google’s latest model, Adobe equips creators with greater flexibility, faster workflows, and more powerful generative tools. As AI-assisted design accelerates, the Adobe–Google partnership strengthens Photoshop and Firefly’s competitive edge across both desktop and mobile platforms.

Apple iPhone Fold Leaks Reveal 2026 Launch, Features, Price & Camera Upgrades

iPhone Fold leaks reveal launch timeline, price, camera, battery, and key design details

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is reportedly targeting a September 2026 launch, featuring a 7.8-inch foldable display, a 5,000mAh+ battery, a high-resolution under-display camera, and an ultra-premium price tag.

New Delhi:
Rumors surrounding Apple’s first foldable iPhone have circulated for years, but the latest leaks offer the clearest picture yet of what the company may unveil in 2026. Unlike Android manufacturers that iterate rapidly in the foldable space, Apple is expected to enter the segment with a polished, mature product. Reports suggest the iPhone Fold may debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, signaling Apple’s strong commitment to foldables rather than treating the device as an experiment.

Breakthrough 24MP Under-Display Camera

According to a JP Morgan equity research report, the iPhone Fold could feature a 24MP under-display camera on its inner screen—an enormous leap over current Android foldables, which typically use 4MP or 8MP sensors.

If accurate, Apple may have solved long-standing challenges associated with under-display cameras, including:

  • Poor light transmission
  • Reduced image clarity

This would make the iPhone Fold the first foldable device to offer a truly high-quality under-display camera experience.

Biggest Battery Ever in an iPhone

Battery specifications are just as noteworthy. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Apple plans to use high-density battery cells, while Korean sources estimate capacities between 5,400mAh and 5,800mAh.

Chinese leaker Instant Digital further claims the battery will “definitely” exceed 5,000mAh, making it the largest battery ever used in an iPhone. This aligns with the demands of a foldable design, similar to devices like the vivo X Fold 5 and Honor Magic V5.

Display and Design: 7.8-inch Main Panel, Touch ID Return

Leaks point to a 7.8-inch main foldable display paired with a 5.5-inch outer cover display. Interestingly, Apple may revive Touch ID, potentially due to the thinner design of the cover screen where Face ID hardware may be harder to accommodate.

Four-Camera System

Reports suggest the following camera configuration:

  • Hole-punch selfie camera on the outer screen
  • High-resolution under-display camera inside
  • Dual 48MP rear cameras

This results in a total of four camera modules.

Ultra-Premium Pricing Expected

According to MacRumors, the iPhone Fold could be priced between USD 2,000 and USD 2,500, making it the most expensive iPhone ever released. This pricing signals Apple’s intent to position the device firmly in the ultra-premium foldable segment.

Market Expectations for 2026

With major specifications leaking well ahead of launch, anticipation around Apple’s foldable device is unusually high. If Apple successfully delivers a refined folding mechanism, high-end under-display camera technology, a massive battery, and signature Apple design polish, the iPhone Fold could become one of 2026’s most significant device launches.

However, all details remain speculative until Apple makes an official announcement.
