New FASTag Annual Pass Announced—₹3,000 for 200 Toll-Free Journeys!
What’s New?
- Launch Date: Effective 15 August 2025, aligning with Independence Day, for symbolic and logistical impact.
- Validity: Covers 1 year from activation or 200 trips, whichever occurs first.

Why It Matters
- Streamlined travel: Reduces frequent toll stops—especially where tolls are within ~60 km—minimizing waits and disputes.
- Cost-effective alternative: ₹3,000 annually beats ₹4,080 (Rs 340/month × 12), with fewer documentation hassles.
- Digital-first approach: Builds on FASTag’s RFID tech, with a future push toward ANPR-linked sensor systems for barrier-free tolling.
Activation & Usage
- Where to buy/renew: Via Rajmarg Yatra app, and on NHAI and MoRTH websites.
- Refunds/recharges: Once 200 trips are done or expiry hits, users can top-up with regular FASTag recharge or renew the Annual Pass.
- Counting trips:
- Closed tolls (e.g. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway): one round counts as one trip.
- Open tolls: each toll plaza crossing = one trip.
