At Trent Bridge, Nottingham, Ollie Pope smashed 171 off 166 balls against Zimbabwe, helping England declare at 565/6. This marked his 8th Test century — uniquely, all scored against eight different teams.

Since debuting in 2018, Pope has now scored centuries against South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, Ireland, India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe — a first in Test cricket history.
