A prayer meet for legendary Hindi cinema icon Dharmendra, who passed away earlier this week, will be held on Thursday evening at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End hotel. Preparations at the venue are underway to host an intimate and dignified remembrance for the veteran actor, whose passing has left an irreplaceable void in the film industry.

Dharmendra, lovingly known as the He-Man of Bollywood, breathed his last on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89, following a week-long illness. He passed away at his residence in Juhu and was cremated the same day at the Pawan Hans crematorium, Vile Parle, where several industry dignitaries gathered to bid him farewell.

The Deol family officially announced the prayer service through a heartfelt digital invitation shared on social media.
The invitation features:

Reports suggest that singer Sonu Nigam may perform some of Dharmendra’s most beloved songs, adding an emotional musical tribute to the evening.

Fans will soon see Dharmendra on screen one last time in Ikkis, slated for release in December.

  • Dharmendra as Brigadier Khetarpal, the war hero’s father
  • Jaideep Ahlawat, in a pivotal role
