Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and Cannes veteran Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming film Homebound is set to be screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Johar, along with actors Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, has already arrived in Cannes. The film’s star cast will also attend its premiere.

Homebound, written and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan—whose 2015 film Masaan was also showcased at Cannes—follows the story of two childhood friends (played by Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa) from a small North Indian village. The narrative centers on their pursuit of a police job that promises them the dignity they’ve long been denied.

Shikhar Pahariya Joins Cannes to Support Janhvi Kapoor

Despite having an injury on his hand, Shikhar Pahariya made his way to Cannes to support his girlfriend, Janhvi Kapoor. A photo from the event shows Shikhar posing with Khushi Kapoor, Orry, and Karan Johar. While Karan sports a stylish pink suit in most pictures, one image shows him in a casual blue outfit alongside Khushi and Shikhar. Shikhar is seen wearing white pants paired with a green T-shirt.

Shikhar and Janhvi’s Relationship

Shikhar Pahariya and Janhvi Kapoor have known each other since childhood. They dated years ago but parted ways for undisclosed reasons. However, the two have rekindled their relationship in recent times. While Janhvi has not publicly confirmed the relationship, her frequent outings with Shikhar and wearing a pendant bearing his name suggest that the couple is serious about each other.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Upcoming Projects

Apart from Homebound, Janhvi Kapoor has several exciting projects lined up:

  • A Tamil film alongside Ram Charan

  • Devara: Part 2

  • Param Sundari with Siddharth Malhotra

  • Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan
