Gurugram, February 2025 — Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has made headlines once again—this time for acquiring a sprawling ultra-luxury apartment at The Dahlias, DLF’s prestigious high-end residential project at DLF5 Golf Links in Gurugram’s Sector 54.

According to property documents accessed by real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix, Dhawan purchased the 6,040 sq. ft. apartment for ₹65.61 crore, with the total transaction amount—after including stamp duty charges of ₹3.28 crore—amounting to a staggering ₹68.89 crore. The registration of the deal took place in the first week of February 2025.

The apartment comes with five dedicated parking slots and is part of The Dahlias, DLF’s most elite residential enclave designed for India’s ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Property documents further revealed that the per square foot rate on the carpet area of the apartment stands at ₹1,14,068.61, while the rate based on super area is ₹1,08,631 per square foot—placing this transaction among the most expensive residential deals in the country.

Dhawan’s purchase highlights a growing trend among high-profile celebrities and business elites investing in luxury real estate in Gurugram, particularly in the DLF5 enclave, which has become synonymous with exclusivity and premium living.

This acquisition not only underscores Dhawan’s success beyond the cricket field but also reinforces the growing demand for bespoke luxury residences in India’s most affluent urban pockets.
